Tough Guys and Gals
Have you ever heard anyone say “A little mud never hurt nobody”
Yes they were right a little mud never hurt anybody but alot of mud, well that’s questionable.
Lets just put things into perspective for you….
There is a challenge held in several locations across New Zealand called “The Tough Guy and Gal”
What’s involved? It is a 6km course (Military Style) it is mean and only the SUPER keen dare to participate. It’s hard to really put into words exactly what you should expect if participating in a Tough Guy and Gal challenge. Really all I can truly say is it’s not easy, it is hard, it is a CHALLENGE it is Muddy, there are hills that you could almost look at as Mount Everest due to the Mud and water you end up having attached to every part of your body. You will fall multiple times without a doubt, you will get stuck in mud, you will feel pain during and after the challenge.
So yeah I guess it really depends how you look at Mud, if doing this challenge then yes I’d have to disagree and use the statement “Mud Hurts like hell” the thing about it though is you can expect to be fully covered in mud from head to toe so it’s all about getting into it and enjoying it, even when the tears come, not saying I cried… Okay I fully did and I’m not ashamed to say it… haha.
Instra had a record of 9 staff members participate in the Rotorua Tough Guy and Gal challenge this year, a fantastic result with 6 Newbies.
These people need to be commended, I hereby give you all the title “TOUGH” :
- Eduardo
- Jonathan
- Alan
- Renee
- Rob
- Jo
- Jaxon
- Richard
I was stoked to have competed in this challenge with the team and all I can so is “No Pain, No Gain”
What did we gain? Probably more pain, no but seriously the achievement on it’s own is the biggest reward.
It was massively hard but super cool watching new Team members compete and smash it out like no ones business, seriously I’m super proud to be working alongside these Tough Guys and Gals.
Photos? Yes we have them!
